Our Yearly Payment Calendar
We find our members are often confused about the group’s payment calendar. The group requires one payment from all its members at the beginning of each financial which runs from 1 July to 30 June every year. The earlier you join, the more meetings you have the opportunity to attend, there’s value for money!
Sponsoring Members to
Each year the group endeavors to sponsor at least two members to ANZET / CSANZ wherever it is held throughout Australia. Our support in the past has been to the tune of $1000, this is assessed each year as the group is looking at either increasing the support or sponsoring more members.
The good news is that with a lot of conversation and a small increase in fees in the last twelve months, the management committee has agreed that we will sponsor four group members to the ANZET / CSANZ this financial year.
Our support to each member will increase to $1200 for each member this was also due to feedback from past recipients.
Please remember the Treasurer will pay your winnings on issue of receipts.
It is important to remember that you have to have been a financial member for at least two years to win the prize.
Committee
As a committee we are relatively new with little understanding of the workings of the group over the next twelve (12) months we will develop job descriptions for each committee position. Therefore when a new member is appointed into one of the positions in the team they will have a greater understanding of the role they are about to take on.
Also in the last twelve (12) months the group has obtained an ABN this has improved our opportunity to gain sponsorship from the various sponsoring companies and therefore made our meeting dates more reliable.
The May Meeting is a co-sponsorship from Bard and Boston Scientific this is also an evening Meeting. The education topic is EPS the date of the meeting is 1 May 2013 and the venue is the Stamford at North Ryde
The July Meeting scheduled for 4 July 2013 is being sponsored by Medtronic. It is an evening Meeting and will be held at their facility in North Ryde. This will be the Groups AGM, Medtronic have also kindly offered to show our members through their simulation lab.
The best way to RSVP to a meeting is with your name via our email address.
There are many reasons for this;
First and foremost it guarantees you place at a meeting (as you are aware sometimes they can be in hot demand); please only RSVP if you intend to come.
Second more and more sponsoring companies request a printout of attendees this helps the committee to start to construct this list.
Third, it helps put together your certificate of attendance at the end of each financial year.
Please also remember too register your attendance at all meetings you attend.
As CPD points are all important these days the group will issue certificates of attendances to all its members once every 12months this will fall in line with our yearly payment calendar.
We as a group are trying to fasten up the registration desk, please remember if you have paid in the this financial year you simply need to tell us that you are attending the meeting if you have not paid in this financial year you will need to renew your membership.
